The Hillcrest governing body is made up of governors who are also known as the trustees of the Academy. Their role is to help manage the academy and challenge it to spend the money given to it in the best interests of it’s children.
The governing body meets 6 times a year. There is also several committees who meet separately and advise and support the governors. Their remit covers staffing, finance, audit and exclusions.
Governors come from three groups:
- Staff – One teaching and one non teaching representatives.
- Community – To include business, legal, finance, HR and local community interests. (We are always looking for business, legal and finance governors to join our team. )
