Welcome to Little Sparkles!
Our Nursery supports children aged 2 in their early development leading to a smooth start in education.
What an amazing start to Little Sparkles we have all had! For this term, we are exploring our new environment and creating new relationships with our peers and the adults in our room.
In Little Sparkles, we follow the children's interests and ensure we adapt and change our language and questioning to further our pupils learning. We are exploring lots of sensory and creative activities. We have been engaging in counting activities as well as lots of mark making provision.
This term, we have opened up our doors to create a free flow environment. This means that the children can access the outdoor provision as well as the indoor provision at any time they wish. We have just had our new outdoor area completed and it looks absolutely beautiful. We have so many new outdoor areas to enjoy and we really enjoy our new toadstool reading area! The children love to listen to stories every day!
We have snack time every day. We can choose to have milk or water and there is a different fruit to try each day. During this time, we practice our nursery rhymes. At the end of the day, a slip is sent home to parents letting them know what we have eaten and had to drink this day. It also lets our parents know if our nappies have been changed or if we have used the toilet during session.
We love our new 'Gem Powers'. We are working on being independent with our exploring during free flow time.
In Little Sparkles, every child has a Key Person. This is a named member of staff for every child who ensures that they feel safe and cared for.
We put lots of our learning on 'Tapestry'. This is a secure online learning journal where parents can view their own child's weekly learning through photos, observations and videos.
We also update our ClassDojo feed. ClassDojo allows us to connect with parents and answer any questions.
We love Nursery Rhymes!
In Little Sparkles, we love to learn new nursery rhymes!

We sing lots of nursery rhymes but we focus on 2 specific nursery rhymes per term. These link to our learning.
